dvani’s illustrious political career includes serving as the Deputy Prime Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government and heading various ministries. He was a dedicated member of both Houses of Parliament from 1970 to 2019.

The Prime Minister commended Advani’s journey from grassroots activism to the pinnacle of national leadership. “His is a life that started from working at the grassroots to serving the nation as our Deputy Prime Minister. He distinguished himself as our Home Minister and I&B Minister as well. His Parliamentary interventions have always been exemplary, full of rich insights,” stated PM Modi.

The decision to honor LK Advani with the Bharat Ratna adds another distinguished name to the list of recipients of this prestigious award.
